Free Electricity

Produce your own electricity And we will pay for the panels!!

By having solar panels fitted to your roof you can reduce your electricity bill by up to 50% for life, saving up to 40 tonnes of carbon emissions in the process.

Not every household can afford the cost of buying and installing solar panels but would like to benefit from reduced electricity costs. This is where LDG Solar can help. We will provide the solar panels free of charge for you so you can start making the savings on your energy costs. We do this by funding the project in the short term in return for receiving the government funded feed in tariff. This is widely referred to as the rent a roof scheme.

The feed in tariff is a scheme where, on your behalf, we install an electricity-generating technology from a renewable or low-carbon source such as solar PV and the government's Feed-In Tariff scheme (FIT) means you get money from your energy supplier. You can be paid for the electricity you generate, even if you use it yourself, and for any surplus electricity you export to the grid. And of course you'll also save money on your electricity bill, because you'll be using your own electricity.

How much you could save

• The amount of money you will save depends on the proportion of the electricity generated that is used directly in the home, rather than exported to the grid. This will depend on a number of factors, including:

• How much electricity you use and when you use it

• Whether you are at home and using appliances during the day

• Whether you can change the time you use your appliances, for example running your washing machine when it's sunny instead of at night

• How big the solar PV installation is

• The proportion used in the home may be as low as 25% for a typical PV system, but could be as high as 50% for some users. With a typical PV system this would mean likely annual savings of £90 to £180 on your electricity bill.
